- Tread Wear Indicators: Most modern tyres feature moulded Tread Wear Indicator bars within the tread itself. If the tread surface is flush with these indicators, it’s time to replace your tyre.

Sidewall Damage

Unlike other situations where multiple offences have been alleged and we can argue that the principle of totality should apply so a separate penalty is not imposed for each offence, with the offence of defective tyres, this is not the case. If all four tyres are found to be faulty, you risk 12 penalty points and a potential driving ban due to totting up.
