Pub and club measures are exact. When your best mate pours you a drink at home, this can be anything but! Larger glasses, no pub measures, and a false sense of security from being in a more relaxed environment could make you believe that you pose no risk to other road users. So even if you “feel fine” as you have not had a wild night out, you may be over the limit when you decide to drive home.
Even if you have no intention to drive, simply being in charge of a vehicle whilst over the prescribed alcohol or drug limit could still amount to an offence.
