Nowadays you can buy tickets online, bank online and skype someone across the other side of the world.
But, what becomes of the people who do not know how to operate a computer, do not know how to send an email, upload a photograph or tag a friend on their facebook photo profile.

On 22 November the local offices in Bangor, Beverley, Chester, Dundee, Exeter, Inverness, Maidstone, Peterborough, Sidcup, Theale, Truro and Worcester closed.
On 13 December 2013 saw the final face of closure of the offices at Birmingham, Borehamwood, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Northampton, Nottingham, Portsmouth, Preston and Wimbledon. A lot of the services have been transferred to local post offices or are available online.
On the 20 July 2015 the Government announced a 12 week consultation upon closure of 91 courts and tribunal in England and Wales. Since the last consultation in 2010, 93 Magistrates courts and 49 County Court were closed.
The Government Digital Strategy Action plan 15 committed the government to work with public and private bodies. This initiative helps people gain the skills to go online and reduce the number of people without digital skills.
Computers, social media smart phones and digital technology are wonderful inventions. But we should not forgot those who may be digitally shy. We should help them to discover all these new technologies making them ready for the new digital age and a whole new world.
