Statistics
We are strong believers in backing up our confidence in our often unique motoring law case strategies with results and statistics. Each year we compile our statistics and publish these online for all to see. We have just finalised our review of our half year results and are delighted to announce, that in many drink and drug driving case categories we have improved on our results from last year. At what stage are cases won?
In addition to reviewing how many cases we won and lost, with our successful trials, we have also looked at the point at which cases were won.
A staggering 18% of cases were discontinued before the trial date. This is always a welcome relief to clients whose cases are discontinued who do not have to endure the stress and cost of a day in court.
43% of our successful trials were withdrawn by the prosecution on the day of the trial before it commenced.
25% were found NOT GUILTY at the half way mark, after the prosecution closed its case before we presented a defence because we had caused so much damage to the Crown’s case that the court accepted the case was so seriously flawed that there was no need for the defence case to be heard.
The remainder had to go through a full trial but were vindicated with a NOT GUILTY verdict at the end of the process.
Being prosecuted for an offence with serious and far reaching consequences is certainly not something anyone plans for or wants to have to deal with. Our help does involve an investment but we are able to prove that in a very high proportion of cases that investment was well worth it.
