If an officer signals for you to pull over, you must stop in accordance with Section 163 of the Road Traffic Act 1988.
Failure to do so could result in an unlimited fine. However, you cannot receive an endorsement on your licence for this.
However, if this leads to a police pursuit, you may face more serious charges of careless or dangerous driving. These offences can result in penalty points, disqualifications from driving and in the worst case scenario for dangerous driving, a custodial sentence.
