I believed my case was a ‘no hoper’, until I carried out some online research and came across the Geoffrey Miller Solicitors web site and read some of their case results and outcomes. I was being charged with: failing to provide a specimen, and from my career background suspected the procedure at the Police station had not been followed correctly but had resigned myself to being found guilty which would have a devastating affect on my life and family in many areas.
As a last resort I plucked up the courage to give GMS a ring and spoke with an employee who after hearing my story gave me hope that things might not be as bad as I first thought. They agreed I had made a mistake in the run up of events taking me to the Police station, but that I was not a bad person, was paying for my mistake and that if there was a possibility that procedures had not been followed correctly at the Police station then I would not be found guilty of failing to provide a specimen.
It has been a hard nine months for me (to say the least), and I do not ever want to have to experience this again, but if it was not for the GMS team who in the end won my case I would not like to say where I would be now. They are professional, thorough, emphatic, supportive and I would recommend them to any unfortunate who winds up with an offence the way I did.
