Anonymous 88 Drink Driving Testimonial

I found myself in the terrible position of making the mistake of drink driving & being caught for the second time within ten years. The night it happened I couldn’t believe I had made such a stupid mistake. The moment I saw the duty solicitor after spending a night in a cell, he presented me with the harsh reality of being handed a 3 year ban and a 2nd criminal conviction for drink driving. I instantly broke down at the thought, & reality of what I had done.

After leaving the station, in the days that followed I carried out extensive research into drink driving firms & specialists. I was then contacted by Nadine, who took my first initial statement, it was quite daunting having to break down every choice I made on the day that led to me being arrested but Nadine was extremely reassuring. For me what I had done was terrible, but when speaking to Nadine not once did I feel any judgement, I felt support, good energy and the willingness to help.

Jack was the solicitor assigned to my case, I always found Jack to be extremely professional, factual and to the point. He always provided in-depth, detailed answers to any of my queries via email and was always happy to speak to me on the phone whenever I felt I needed extra reassurance and support. I can’t explain the overwhelming feeling of safety I felt when dealing with GM & that I did not need to worry about a single thing even as we started nearing the trial date & the prosecution’s case was being built. The conversation I had with Jack on the Friday before my trial (trial date: Monday 21st Feb), filled me with extreme optimism & confidence that come Monday I would get the best possible outcome.

The day of my trial, my advocate at court was John Dye (who I had wanted to represent me from reading previous reviews on the GM site). I once again could tell that I was in extremely capable hands, John presented me with all the different outcomes that I could leave that day with. John had gone into the court at 09:55am, within 15 minutes he came out to tell me it was my lucky day & that the CPS were dropping their charges against me, I was told to come into the courtroom to confirm my name and D.O.B & was told I will be receiving some of my defence costs back. I was not in the courtroom for longer than 60 seconds and spent under just 45 minutes in the court building!!! A true result, I spoke to Jack after who said that this was handled in a record time of 22 minutes (which happens to be my favourite number!).

If you’re scared and in a similar situation, looking for a firm or a sign of who to go for please take this as the sign you need to instruct GM right away. I am 26 years old, have just started my dream graduate job and spent all of my savings on this because the freedom and second chance I have received in life all because of the great work from everyone at GM is priceless. I am filled with more gratitude than you’ll ever know.
