Anonymous 37 Drink Driving Testimonial

I was followed home by a member of the public after leaving the pub after having drinks with a friend after work. The person who followed me had called the police on-route and I was breathalysed outside my home in early March. I blew 83 and was subsequently arrested for suspected drink driving. When I got to the police station I blew 93 and was then kept in custody until the following afternoon. I was not fully aware of my human rights and felt very intimidated by the police which led me to go through a police interview. When I was released from the detention centre the following late afternoon I was overcome with emotions and believed that my life had ended. Because I had gone through the police interview I believed that I was already guilty and I was extremely worried as to what the sentence would be.
