Anna De La Perrelle – PAPR (Public Relations)- Manchester

Anna was prosecuted for driving without insurance and failing to produce her documents to the police in Macclesfield Magistrates’ Court. She was convicted in her absence because she had not received any paperwork relating to the Prosecution and so was unaware of it until the bailiffs came after her due to non-payment of the fine that was imposed.

We arranged for the case to be reopened and successfully argued that the conviction should be set aside because she had been insured although there were some typographical errors concerning the correct spelling of her name.

We were also able to show evidence that she had in fact produced her documents at the police station.

Not only was her conviction set aside but the Court also agreed to pay her legal costs in full and she was fully reimbursed all fees connected with the case.
